The Strategic Planning Committee works to ensure the College’s mission, vision, and goals align with university priorities and includes the aspirations of the entire engineering community. The members included:

Stakeholder Engagement Approach

The strategic plan requires input from all college stakeholders to be successful. Working group participants included faculty, staff, students, alumni, corporate partners, and university leaders. Input was gathered through various channels, such as:

• Focus Groups: Interactive SOAR sessions with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and advisory boards.
• Working Groups: Working sessions to develop SMART goals from previous focus groups.
• Town Halls: Open forums to engage stakeholders in SMART goal refinement and prioritization.  

This collaborative approach ensures a shared vision for the Penn State College of Engineering. The resulting SMART goals will propel us forward on a path of continued engineering excellence in education and research.
