Student Biography
Brandon Tezak
Brandon Tezak is currently in his 5th year of study in the Architectural Engineering Program at The Pennsylvania State University. In May 2013, he will graduate with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree, with a focus in Construction Management. Brandon is a member of a number of professional and student organizations including the Penn State Chapter of the Architectural Engineering Institute (Student Society of Architectural Engineers), Student Chapter of the Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence (S:PACE), Design Institute of America (DBIA) and the Penn State Chapter of USGBC.
During the past summer, Brandon was a Jr. Project Engineer with Grunley Construction in Washington, D.C. He worked on the North Hall Project at American University. This experience provided him with valuable experience and insight into the startup, coordination, and construction of a building. Brandon passed the LEED Green Associate Exam in March of 2012 and completed the OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety Certification in July of 2012.
Outside of academics, Brandon is very involved in University activities. He has been a member for the past three years of Hershey Kisses for the Kids, a THON organization and has served as the treasurer for the past two years. He has helped raise $40,000 for THON. Brandon is also very involved in the community in his hometown of Hershey, PA. He volunteers his time at the local food banks over the holidays. Brandon also serves as an advisor for his church’s youth group and serves as staff member at the Harrisburg Area Confirmation Camp.
