The Building

•       Eight-story multi-use building with a glass facade

•       256,000 square feet of which PPL subsidiaries will lease around 200,000

•       $29 million base building cost

•       LEEDS Certified

•       First floor is reserved as rentable retail space

•       Second through eighth floors are for PPL companies

•       3rd and 5th floor winter gardens and a roof-top garden

•       85’ setback from Hamilton Street provides space for a plaza

 

The Tenant

•       PPL Corporation’s headquarters occupies the PPL Tower, Allentown’s tallest building

•       The Plaza at PPL Center is being built to house the unregulated subsidiaries of PPL Corp.

•       Second through sixth floors will provide office space for the PPL companies

•       The two upper floors will be used as energy trading floors.

 

The Site

•       Former site of Hess’s Department Store in downtown Allentown, PA

•       Adjacent to PPL Corporation’s current headquarters, the PPL Tower

•       Poor soil conditions and sink hole susceptibility
