Technical Assignment 1- Existing Lighting and Design Criteria:

Technical assignment 1focuses on the existing lighting design of the Duke Medical School- Duke School of Nursing building. This report provides a general overview of the existing building lighting conditions in addition to four in-depth analyses of spaces that will be redesigned later in this project. The analysis and critique focused on the lighting design criteria set fourth by IESNA Handbook as well as the lighting power allowance as stated in ASHRAE 90.1.

Technical Assignment 2- Electrical System Existing Conditions and Building Load Summary:

Technical assignment 2 focuses on the existing electrical design of the Duke Medical School-Duke School of Nursing Building. This Report provides an in-depth analysis of the electrical and communication systems within the building. It also studies the electrical load conditions in three different design pahses.

Technical Assignment 3- Schematic Lighting Design:

Technical Assignment 3 is a schematic design presentation of my lighting design concepts for the Duke School of Nursing building. The presentation was proposed in front of lighting designers from the industry at Lutron. A lighting desing theme was chosen for the building. Design goals were given for the entire building as well as each seperate space. Concept sketches were made using photoshop to clearly express the design intensions.
