WESTINGHOUSE BUILDING 4
CRANBERRY, PA

Jonathan Fisher is currently in his 5th year of the Architectural Engineering program at the Pennsylvania State University.  In May, 2011 he will graduate with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree, with a focus in Construction Management.  While at Penn State Jonathan joined the Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity where he served as a Delta on the house board, participated in raising money for Penn State’s THON charity event, and helped in the building of the fraternity’s Home Coming float.  While at Penn State Jon has participated in many charity and promotional events to help better the experiences of fellow Penn State students as well as other members of the community.  He is currently a Monster Energy Drink student representative, which involves distributing Monster around Penn State at various events of all kind.

For the past 3 summers Jon has been an intern for the Westinghouse Electric Company, in Cranberry PA.  As an intern he composed material specification data sheets, investigated space envelopes using Navisworks Jetstream, and conducted piping, concrete, and rebar material takeoffs.  This experience was invaluable because Jon was able to participate in all aspects of the design, pricing, delivery plan, and installation of Westinghouse’s revolutionary new nuclear power plant.  Jonathan has taken and passed the FE exam and is looking forward to entering EIT status upon graduation, and one day becoming a certified PE.

During his free time Jon enjoys donating plasma at the local Bio Life center, participating in intramural sports, and boating at Deep Creek Lake.  One of Jon’s most passionate hobbies is woodworking and creating simple CAD and Revit drawings for small residential home improvements.  On weekends in the fall you could probably find Jon in the student section of Beaver Stadium supporting the Penn State Nittany Lions.
