More About Justin
Justin Kovach is completing his fifth and final year in the Architectural Engineering Program at The Pennsylvania State University. Upon graduation in May 2012, Justin will have earned his Bachelors and Masters of Architectural Engineering through the Integrated Program.
During his time at Penn State Justin has been very involved with many student organizations on campus. He is currently serving as the President of the Penn State Structural Engineers Association, the Vice-President and Co-Founder of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute – Penn State Student Chapter, and an active member in NAHB-PSU, SSAE, and ASCE-PSU.
Justin is also very interested in many athletic activities available on campus. He has been a member of the Penn State Racquetball Team for 2 years and has enjoyed playing ice hockey since 2nd grade. In his free time you can often find him playing one of many sports, including football, baseball/softball, volleyball, ice hockey, and racquetball.
Due to the hard work and commitment of himself and his parents, Justin has taken full advantage of his education. Due to taking several classes while in high school, Justin was able to transfer 27 credits to Penn State. This will allow him to graduate ahead of schedule, with more classes than are required to achieve the degree. Due to the hard work and commitment of his parents, Justin was able to spend 7 weeks of his 2010 summer break studying abroad in Italy. During his 2011 summer break he interned with Atlantic Engineering Services in Pittsburgh. This was a great learning experience for him and a great supplement to his education.
