AE 481W/AE 882 Course Reflection |
Course Reflection |
Senior thesis was a difficult yet rewarding experience. The work conducted in AE 481W was important to learn so that the project itself could be analyzed. All of the necessary information regarding the building systems, existing conditions, costs and construction practices were learned during AE 481W. The work conducted in AE 882 in the spring was more challenging and also more interesting. The completely unstructured nature of the course created a need for time management and personal guidance. It was a good lesson in how to determine the best course of action to reach a certain goal. This is going to be very applicable in my future career where the construction team has to determine the best way to deliver each particular project. |
CPEP Reflection |
The Capstone E-Portfolio was one of the most frustrating portions of the senior thesis requirements. Prior to this course I had almost no experience with designing and constructing websites so I had to learn everything about it at the start of the fall semester. Despite the frustrations that came about while making the CPEP site I feel that it is a good tool for others that wish to see the work that is being done over the semesters. The largest benefit of the sites though is that they are archived giving future 5th year students a reference on how to complete each step of their theses. |
