The AE 481W / AE 897G Senior Capstone project provided me an opportunity to apply the theories and concepts I’ve learned from a variety of previous courses here at Penn State.  Throughout the course I have learned to use a many unfamiliar resources ranging from industry interviews to manufacturer design guidelines and professional publications.  I’ve also improved my professional communication and networking skills through interaction with members of the New Science Center team and other industry experts.

The project seemed overwhelming at times, but by sticking to my proposed work schedule and milestones the workload was very manageable.  Overall it has been a great learning experience that has prepared me for a great start to my career as an architectural engineer.
