Thesis Reflection

Senior thesis project is a fundamental learning exercise in applying what I have learned at Penn State to a practical purpose. This project challenged me to not only use what I have learned at Penn State but also incorporate knowledge from multiple courses in a way previously unknown to me for a complete design.  Although the project seemed intimidating in the beginning, it was an excellent learning experience of how to design a complex project step by step in a methodical way.  Senior thesis provided a great way to bring together all that I have learned at Penn State and provide a taste of what I will face as a structural engineer.

CPEP and Discusion Board Reflection

The Capstone Project Electronic Portfolio (CPEP) proved to be an efficient and professional way to display our senior thesis work.  The portfolio provided an easy way to share my project accomplishments not only with faculty but also family and friends.  The discussion board was a priceless tool in learning from engineers who would provide valuable feedback and experience.
