Thesis Report:

This final report evaluates the feasibility of several redesigned aspects of the Mueller Laboratory Renovation project. These include:

- an alternate roof reinforcement system
- modified asbestos abatement procedure
- relocating the project's material storage and parking area
- recycling of scrap metal
- utilization of Edison-base LED fixtures.

Alternate roof reinforcement had potential to save schedule time, decrease installation costs, improve the quality of the work performed, and increase job safety.
Modified asbestos abatement could decrease abatement duration.
Relocated material storage and parking could create a cleaner, safer worksite.
Recycling scrap metal could pay for itself.
And screw-in LED bulbs could cost less.
Each of these topics were investigated in full in the report found below.
