Jeremy R. Powis
Architectural Engineering I Structural Option

Jeremy R. Powis grew up in Franconia, a suburb of Philadelphia.  He is the son of Jeffrey and Deborah Powis and sibling to Christopher and Michelle.  Jeremy graduated from Souderton Area High School in 2003 where he was a member of the National Honor Society.  There he found interest in architecture and excelled in math.

Jeremy is currently enrolled at the Pennsylvania State University in Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in the structural option.  Jeremy spent the 2004-2006 summers working at Eastern Diversified Services, Inc. (EDS) which is a restoration services provider to commercial and residential buildings.  While working there, Jeremy had the opportunity to work on the foundation system of the local Boys & Girls Club building.  In the summer of 2007, Jeremy interned for Robert E. Lamb, Inc. under a structural engineer.  There he performed design calculations; drafted structural plans, and designed a built-in-place truss system in an existing building.  Jeremy’s experience during his internship was an invaluable one, and greatly furthered his education.

Along with internships, Jeremy has expanded his education by participating in Penn State’s Sede Di Roma program.  He gained knowledge of ancient engineering techniques and studied the architecture and development of ancient Rome.  He will obtain a minor in Architectural Studies upon graduation.

Upon graduation, Jeremy will also obtain EIT status.  He plans to pursue a PE license by working with an experienced engineer.  To obtain Jeremy's resume, click here.
