BIOGRAPHY:

Ryan is a 5th year architectural engineering student in the structural option at Penn State University.  He grew up in Sharon, Pennsylvania with his two parents and sister who is currently also enrolled at Penn State University.  From an early age Ryan had an interest in buildings and the ways in which they were constructed.  This along with his success in math and sciences in high school led him to enroll at Penn State as an Architectural engineer.

At Penn State Ryan is currently working towards completing an Integrated Master/ Bachelor of architectural Engineering degree which he plans to finish this spring.  After his third year at Penn State he attended a summer study abroad program in Rome, Italy.  While studying ancient architecture, structures, and customs in Rome Ryan earned credits helping him achieve an Architectural Studies minor.  Back at Penn State he has worked hard in his studies making the Dean’s list the last seven semesters as well as passing his Fundamentals of Engineering exam.  In spring 2007 Ryan was inducted into Phi Alpha Epsilon, the architectural engineering honor society.  In addition to working hard at school he tries to balance an enjoyable social life participating in multiple intramural sports and hanging out with his friends.

Ryan also has gained valuable in field experience over the last few years.  He interned in his home town at a local firm HHSDR during the summers following his 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years of school.  Working there as an Architectural/ Structural intern Ryan obtained a great deal of experience which helped him back at school as well as helped confirm his choice to study architectural engineering.  Last summer he interned at Structura-Inc. a structural design firm in Rockville, Maryland.  While working with Structura Ryan gained further experience in the design field and is now eager to enter the structural engineering industry.
