AE 481/882 Course Reflection

Throughout the course of this year-long thesis project, I feel that I definitely prepared myself for the future tasks that lay before me in my field of study. The project was a great test of personal skill, allowing free thinking and independence while assessing the best way to solve a problem. Many of the skills and processes that I have learned throughout the years were employed, as well as many new ones that were learned during the course of this past year. Upon completion of this thesis, I feel confident and satisfied with the education I recieved from the Architectural Engineering department at the Pennsylvania State University.

CPEP and Discussion Board Reflection

The inclusion of a public CPEP website and discussion board in the thesis process was very beneficial to the students and faculty as a whole. It allowed an easily accessible portal of communication that was very valuable when distributing information or contacting professionals on various questions and topics. It also provided an easy way for people inside and outside of our program to follow our progress throughout the course of our thesis.

While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work‐in‐progress for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Christopher Ankeny. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design.
