TECHNICAL ASSIGNMENT 1 - Posted September 29, 2008

Technical Assignment I includes the management methods executed by Gilbane Building Company for Phases I & II of the Integrated Science Center on the campus of the College of William and Mary. It includes a summary of the project's systems, schedule, budget, and site as well as the project delivery methods and staffing plan.


TECHNICAL ASSIGNMENT 2 - Posted October 24, 2008

Technical Assignment II is intended to provide an in-depth analysis of the cost and schedule for the Integrated Science Center project. Included is a detailed schedule showing the phasing amd sequencing of major activites. Site layout plans were constructed to depict changes in the site during major construction phases. A detailed structual systems estimate and general conditions estimate were calculated using R.S. Means. The final section included a discussion of the PACE Roundtable meeting and the issues of today's industry.


TECHNICAL ASSIGNMENT 3 - Posted November 21, 2008

Technical Assignment III is intended to provide an opportunity to being to identify areas of the project that will form the basis of my final thesis proposal. The core thesis investigation areas covered included value engineering topics, constructability challenges, and schedule acceleration scenarios. A number of possible proposal topics were identified and four were expanded upon in this assignment.
