TECHNICAL ASSIGNMENTS-

Technical Assignment 1 (pdf)
Technical Assignment 1 is an investigation of the existing conditions of The Gouverneur Healthcare Services. Wind and seismic lateral analysis is included in the report as well as spot checks for gravity loading on representative members.

Technical Assignment 2 (pdf)
Technical Assignment 2 is an investigation of different floor systems in order to assess benefits and drawbacks of implementing these designs in The Gouverneur Healthcare Services. Four systems were compared, including the existing steel framing system that utilized cellular beams for gravity members. Other systems analyzed were traditional composite steel framing, precast hollow core slabs, and two-way flat plate floor slab.

Technical Assignment 3 (pdf)
Technical Assignment 3 is an investigation of thelateral design of The Gouverneur Healthcare Services buiilding. Included in the report is investigation of the relative stiffness of lateral frames, torsional consideration, and spot checks of selected members.
