STUDENT BIOGRAPHY: PAUL ROBERTS

Paul Roberts is currently in his 5th year of study in the Architectural Engineering program at Penn State University.  He will graduate in May 2010 with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree (B.A.E.), with a focus in Construction Management.  Paul successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam in fall 2008 and will gain Engineer in Training (EIT) status upon graduation.


Paul worked during the 2006 and 2007 summers in the Architectural Engineering department for Dr. Lepage, Dr. Memari, and Paul Kremer, the manager of the research lab.  The following summer he worked for Jacobs Engineering in Washington D.C. on the renovation and modernization of the Department of Commerce.  Last summer, Paul worked for Surbana Corporation in Singapore assisting with the architectural, mechanical, structural, and life safety review of plans for many of the signature buildings to be constructed on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi.  He also spent time in the sustainability department providing energy and wind analysis on computer software such as Autodesk Ecotect and Fluent Airpak respectively.
