AE 481W/882 COURSE REFLECTION
My experience with the senior thesis project has been very positive. The first semester of the project taught me how to analyze an existing building. Reading drawings, doing take-offs, and analyzing how everything works together were part of the first semester experience. The building was analyzed mostly from a structural standpoint, but also includes analysis of the mechanical, lighting/electrical, construction management, and architectural aspects of the project. The second semester allowed me to explore designing an entire structure using only what I had learned in the past five years as well as new research I did to complete aspects of the design. The project was a culmination of our learning experience in the Architectrual Engineering program: analysis and design. With help from advisors and teachers, I was able to learn a great deal about how to analyze and design a building, as well as budget time and meet deadlines.

CPEP DISCUSSION BOARD RELFECTION
The CPEP Discussion board was a very resourcefull tool in completing the senior thesis project. There are many specific aspects to other options and being able to contact professionals in other options to find answers to certain questions was not only greatly beneficial, but easy, as most questions were answered quickly and thoroughly. Being able to communicate with professionals and find their take on questions that arose throughout the analysis and design processes proved to help create a mroe detailed, accurate analysis and design.
