Reflection of AE 481W/482 During the past academic school year, I have gained a great deal of knowledge in the design and construction of a building. Analyzing the current systems from the specifications and the drawings made it possible to understand the building as a whole and be able to convey my re-design alternatives in writing and graphics. Although it is difficlut to estimate how long something is going to take to work on without much experience, it was beneficial to keep a schedule to make sure things were moving forward. Reflection of CPEP Having a CPEP website made things more formal and was an easy way to share work that was completed with faculty and fellow students. The website was kept up-to-date when deadlines were met and kept things organized. The Mentor Dicussion Board was a valuable tool to get in touch with professionals that have more experience and receive their input.

Note: While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the
pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work‐inprogress
for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and
construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Matthew Buda. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was
flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been
incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original
design. |
