AE481 Reflection

The senior thesis course ties together all courses from the AE curriculum to make for a very educational experience. The various assignments throughout the thesis course has refreshed me on all the knowldege I gained over these past five years. I have found this experience to be a very maturing experience in the fact that the students are required to communicate with industry professionals and in many ways, teach themselves new concepts. This is one aspect that translates to actual practice. In general, this course has prepared me to enter into professional practice.

The use of a thesis website has been a very efficient method for sharing a year's work with professors, professionals, family and freinds. Submittal through the website is also much more convenient, cheaper, and more eco-friendly than submitting hard copies of each report. Although Dreamweaver does pose some formatting difficulties, I enjoyed being able to show some creativity and personalization in the senior thesis process.
