481W/482 Course Reflection

The Senior Thesis courses provided the opportunity to showcase all of the skills I learned during my time in the architectural engineering major at Penn State. The course required a lot of self-reliance and motivation in order to get all of the necessary work completed and handed in on time. The preliminary technical reports and subsequent final report enhanced my self confidence in aspects of the industry that I previously found intimidating. The analyses topics that i performed gave me more insight into nuance items that I would otherwise probably never considered. The whole process, although very frustrating at times, was extremely beneficial and has helped to make me better equipped for the future.

CPEP Reflection

Learning how to correctly use Dreamweaver was a difficult, but beneficial aspect of this program. It provides the course faculty with an easy way to grade the submitted work, and allows many other people the opportunity to see how much work goes into the AE students Senior Thesis projects. It also provides a platform that effectively demonstrates the skills learned through this five year program.
