the lighting proposal memo is a description of the four spaces proposed for the lighting and electrical analysis of the hotel and conference center.  the area uses, material details, design concepts are presented.

technical assignment 1 provides a detailed analysis of the existing lighting design and systems of the hotel and conference center in Virginia.  The analysis focuses on four spaces that offer different tasks and purposes.  the documentation for each space is broken down into distinct parts, including existing conditions, design criteria and considerations, and a critical evaluation of the existing design and conditions.

technical assignment 2 provides a detailed narrative of the existing electrical systems of the hotel and conference center.  the report includes an overall summary of the scope of the electrical systems, as well as special characteristics of each system.  there is a summary of the total building electrical loads and a check of the size of the existing main distribution equipment.  the existing communications systems are also described in detail as well.

technical assignment 3 is a schematic lighting design presentation, showcasing the initial design concepts of the four spaces to be redesigned in the spring.  the presentation explains the overall design theme, concepts, and criteria through the use of visual graphics and photographs.  the information was presented to a panel of lighting designers at lutron in december 2010.  comments from the designers can be found in the lighting proposal memo above.
