Summary
The proposed mechanical system design, to be conducted during the Spring
2006 Semester will focus on replacing the electric centrifugal chillers
in the basemtn chiller plant with double effect steam driven absorption
chillers in order to take advantage of incentives for steam driven cooling
provided by the local utility, Consolidated Edison.
Thesis Proposal
Breathe Topics - The proposed mechanical redesign will directly impact the building's existing electrical and structural systems.
A breathe analysis of each system will be completed to determine the changes which need to be made to these systems.
