 Senior Thesis Reflection

I found the senior thesis activities this year to be both challenging and rewarding. There was a lot of hard work involved, but it produced an outcome that I can feel proud of. The technical reports were challenging at times, but through them I learned a lot of specific information about the project that was helpful in formulating ideas for the final report.

The final report was fairly challenging and I had to move beyond my comfort zone for several of the analysis activities. I feel this prepared me for the working world, by teaching me to reach beyond the information immediately at hand and activities I have done before.  While I am glad to have completed the activities I feel that the information learned and skills gained during the activities, as well as the insightful faculty feedback at the presentation, would allow me to do an even better job in the future.

The CPEP website required much more time and was much more challenging than I had originally expected it to be. I was fortunate to have friends who were patient enough to help me and explain the parts that I had difficulty with, and I learned a lot about web design through this project. I feel the CPEP portion of Senior Thesis provided me with an additional skill I did not have at the start of the course and will prove to be a very valuable experience in the future.

Note: While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work-in-progress for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Mitchell Reiners. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design.
