Technical Report III

Lateral System Analysis and Confirmation Design

This report is a full investigation of the lateral force resisting stystem of the New Hospital. Different load combinations were applied to the structure in order to determine the forces which will control the design. A 3D model was created in RAM Structural System to aid in the analysis. The results were used to check critical members, story drift of the building, overturning of the foundation, and torsion effects due to eccentric loading.
