AE 481W/AE 882 Class Reflection

The experience throughout the 2010-2011 academic year proved to be very valuable. This year long assignment allowed for constant interaction with industry professionals and faculty. Having this experience to keep in constant contact with working professionals allowed for a very educational experience. Additionally, technical writing skills were able to be greatly improved throughout the year and the knowledge gained will applied to future experiences in similar matters. Communication and presentation skills were a valuable asset gained throughout the Senior AE thesis experience. The overall thesis experience allowed all five years of academic education to be applied to the assignment’s final report. Through hard work and dedication, I was able to apply my educational experience gained through the Architectural Engineering program while better preparing me for my future in the AEC industry.

CPEP Reflection

Prior to the AE Senior Thesis assignment, I have no previous experience with html and web design. Over the course of the academic year I was able to gain considerable knowledge within the realm of computer graphics and web design. Having created my website through Microsoft Publisher, I gained extremely valuable knowledge that will provide a great foundation in my career if a background in web design will be required in my future.
