Thesis Reflection

Senior Thesis has been an invaluable experience in my college career.  While other classes give straight forward design problems or analyses, Senior Thesis provided a real life example of determining design problems and implementing them into the final design.  Senior Thesis also allowed me to pursue and learn about design considerations, similar to as I would in my professional career.  Lastly, Senior Thesis gave me experience in dealing with industry professionals in a manner similar to how I will communicate with professionals during my career.

CPEP Reflection

The CPEP site had both strong points and it had its shortcomings.  It was a great way to submit assignments and let student creativity show through in a professional manner.  In addition, the CPEP site allowed students experience in displaying our work to a professional community.  However, the CPEP site had its downfalls.  I chose to use Microsoft Expression Web for my website editing because I have never been comfortable with Adobe Dreamweaver.  Both of the programs are provided by the university, however in the Architectural Engineering computer labs, Microsoft Expression Web was unavailable.  On the contrary, both programs are available in university computer labs, but the drive where the website is stored is inaccessible from the university labs.  This created a lot of file sharing to be able to edit and publish the site utilizing two different computer labs.
