Over the past summer, Michael had the chance to intern with the Office of Physical Plant (OPP) located at the Pennsylvania State University.   One of the projects, Michael was involved with this summer was the $23 M, 20,000 SF Biological Research Laboratory on the Penn State University Park campus.  Interning with OPP provided Michael the opportunity to work on a multitude of projects which includes utilities, new construction, and renovation work.  The exposure to a multitude of projects over Michael’s summer internship has led to important experience which is applicable not only to his thesis project but the work force as well.

Michael, in addition to education and work experience, is involved with many extra-curricular and student run activities.   These organizations include THON (Penn State’s IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon), Relay for Life, Penn State’s Club Boxing team, and Intramural Soccer and Football. For additional information on Michael’s work experience, school organizations, and his studies, click on the résumé link.
