TECHNICAL REPORT 1:

TECHNICAL REPORT 2: TECHNICAL REPORT 3:

This report is a compliance analysis of the INOVA South Patient Tower with ASHRAE Standards 62.1 and 90.1. Research was conducted, data reported, and calculations performed to check compliance.

This report is a thermal load and energy analysis of the INOVA South Patient Tower. Located within are load calculations and economic costs of operating the hospital.

Trane Trace 700 was utilized to do the energy model.

This report is the third and final technical report focusing primarily on the mechanical systems.

Enclosed is a mechanical system summary, a thermal load analysis, building energy analysis,
and overall evaluation of the mechanical systems design.

Note: While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the
pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work in progress
for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and
construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Michael Morder.
Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was
flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been
incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original
design.
