Student Bio

Tim Maffett is currently in his 5th year of study at Penn State University in the Architectural Engineering Program.  Tim will graduate in May 2013 with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree, with a focus in Construction Management.  He has been and will continue to be an active member in the industry.

Over the past two summers Tim has spent his time working for DPR, a prominent general contractor with a vision for the future.  Working both in the Washington, DC office and the Newport Beach, CA office has provided Tim not only with a wide range of Project Engineering background but also a great understanding of how construction differs based on the region.  While in the Washington, DC office he spent his time on-site building a Medical Office Building carrying on with document management and contributing to the daily site safety.  During his time in Newport Beach, CA, Tim worked with the Innovation Team to gather information and facilitate new ideas within the company on a global level.

Though Tim has a passion for building, he also enjoys being active and participating in various intramural sports at Penn State as well as sailing and skiing with his friends.  He has contributed his time over and over again to philanthropies and finds it to be a rewarding experience.
