Executive Summary
The Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute is a full-service biomedical research laboratory in the heart of The Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, in Buffalo, New York. The building is comprised primarily of laboratory and office spaces separated by grand 3 story atrium. The atrium provides general meeting and collaboration space, and houses the Institute's library as well. Completed in May 2005, the Hauptman-Woodward Institute consumes 73,000 square feet and has become an architectural icon of Buffalo in addition to its prestige as a biomedical research facility.
