This report studies the effects of changing the location to a high seismic region. Within there is an in depth structural redesign followed by a basic look at how the cost and schedule will change as a result. In the structural study there is a focus on the lateral system and minimizing torsion. To achieve this the building was split into two wings and braced frames were designed and evenly laid out. Also the existing architectural layout and facade's relationship with the new building structure is investigated. Conclusions are drawn about hotel layout in general.
