Technical reports are used to develop further understanding of the building systems, energy usage, compliance with national standards, and operational costs. These reports are all a "work in progress" and will act as research for the development of formal design proposals in the spring of 2012.

Technical assignment 1 is an evaluation of how well River Vue Apartments meets ASHRAE standards 62.1 and 90.1 for indoor air quality, building envelope construction, and ventilation. Contract documents were examined to understand efficiencies of existing building materials and equipment.

Technical report 2 analyzes an energy model of River Vue Apartments developed using Trane TRACE 700 for annual peak heating and cooling loads. This report also examines annual operating costs, energy usage, and annual emissions.

Technical report 3 is an extended summary of the existing conditions of River Vue Apartment's mechanical systems with further analysis of sustainability and design influences. This report acts as a basis for a formal design proposal which will be further developed in the spring of 2012.
