Senior Thesis Reflection

I believe that the AE senior thesis project is a great culmination of all the knowledge I have learned up to this point in my academic studies.  It has prepared me to be able to manage my time and produce a quality product just as will be required of me in my career.  Senior thesis has also reminded me of the importance of considering all aspects of a change you make as structural engineer to a design.  You have to be aware of how that change will alter construction, architecture, and all building systems.

CPEP Reflection

Capstone Project Electronic Portfolio (CPEP) is an extremely useful aspect to the senior thesis project.  It allows me to display, organize, and verify all the pieces of my thesis in one location.  The CPEP website also allows my peers, family, professionals, and potential employers to view my work.

Note: While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work‐inprogress for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Evan Landis. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design.
