Jack Risser | Lighting / Electrical

Bio:

Jack Risser is a 5th year Architectural Engineering student specializing in lighting and electrical at Penn State. He will graduate with his B.A.E. in May, 2014. He is currently a member of the IES Penn State chapter and works in the Civil Engineering labs as a lab assistant.

In past summer and winter breaks, Jack has gained experience as an intern at two companies. During the summer and winter break of 2012, he worked at Ballinger in Philadelphia on their lighting department team. Working there has greatly influenced him toward a path of lighting design. Recently, Jack has also worked for Lam Partners in Boston during the summer of 2013 as a lighting design intern.

In the Fall of 2012, Jack passed the FE exam and will earn Engineering-in-Training (E.I.T.) status upon graduation. He enjoys reading, playing soccer and basketball, and a quiet evening by a fire at home in his spare time. He is excited to pursue his career in lighting design and make his mother proud.
