Completing senior thesis in the architectrual engineering program at PSU was defintely a challenge for me. It pushed my work ethic, orginization, and concentration to a new level. I learned many things about design, as well as many things about myself. I started senior thesis feeling that I was glad to work solo on this final project. Towards the end of my time working on my thesis, I relized the true benefits of working in a group. Peer review is a very important component of good design. Almost every time I shared a part of my design with a fellow student, we were able to find an area in which improvements could be made. If I had the chance to go back in time, I would participate in group thesis instead of individual thesis.

The instructors for senior thesis are of a very high caliber. They are quite orgainized and provide sufficient information to keep all students on the right path. On the other hand, they do not "hold our hands". They provide the framework which we can work in, but then it is up to us to forge forward. If we have questions, they are always eager to help out but we must take the initiative to start the conversation. Scheduling was handled extremely well, as we were required to submit frequent bar charts depicting our progress and future plans. The overall timetable for the final presentations was very helpful as we finish several weeks before the end of the semester.

I have greatly enjoyed my time at PSU and I can say from experience that the proffessors and courses are very high quality.
