About Casey Mowery

Casey Mowery is currently in her 5th year of study in the Architectural Engineering program at The Pennsylvania State University.  She is specializing in the Construction Management Option.  Casey is working toward an integrated bachelor and master degree of Architectural Engineering.  Upon graduating in December 2008, Casey will be granted EIT status as a result of passing the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam in the fall of 2006. Casey is proud to have made the Dean's List every semester thus far in her college career.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA, Casey was blessed with a wonderful family.   Her mother, father, and sister still serve as her strong support system and have helped her get through the past five years with such success.  Casey became interested in Architectural Engineering after enrolling at Penn State.  Originally, she was accepted in to the Penn State Architecture program.  Upon research of the Architectural Engineering program, Casey realized that the AE program permitted her to work technically and creatively.  The blend of math, science, art, and management in one program was a perfect fit for Casey’s college and future career.

Throughout her time at Penn State, Casey has gained useful knowledge in the areas of lighting & electrical, mechanical, and structural building systems.  All of this knowledge will be invaluable in the construction management field.  With her two summers of internship experience, Casey has gained a practical knowledge of the construction field.  She has been exposed to many aspects of the construction industry, including site and superintendent-related duties, office and project managerial duties, and preconstruction.  In addition to her construction experience, Casey has had the privilege of teaching at the Pennsylvania Association of Student Councils Leadership Camp every summer.  The continual growth of leadership skills has led Casey to excel in group work and give confident presentations in her time at Penn State.

Upon graduation Casey intends to use the knowledge she has gained from Penn State, as well as the skills acquired through her summer internships to work in the construction management field. For further information about Casey, please see her resume by clicking here.
