Technical Assignments

Technical Assignment 1

This report focuses on the Rady School of Management's compliance with ASHRAE 62.1. This standard sets forth minimum outdoor air requirements, as well as general mechanical system design requirements. Energy efficiency was also checked through compliance with ASHRAE 90.1.

Technical Assignment 2

This report evaluates the buildings energy consumption. This was accomplished through the development of an energy model created with Trane TRACE 700. The results of the energy model are discussed and compared to design data. This report also calculates the total emissions related to this building's energy consumption.

Technical Assignment 3

This report the assesses the building's existing conditions as far as the HVAC system is concerned. A cost analysis is performed in terms of initial cost and cost of operation. It also critiques the HVAC system's design in response to design requirements and objectives. In addition to this, a LEED analysis is performed.
