Final Report
This final report includes a structural depth involing the redesign of the office wing of the University Academic Center into a concrete structure separated from the original steel structure. The new design consists of a one-way pan joist floor system and ordinary concrete momentframes to resist lateral loads in both axes of analysis.
In addition to the structural depth, two breadth topics were also discussed. These were construction related issues arrizing from the changed concrete structure, particularly cost and scheduling impacts, and a lighting redesign of a typical computer lab space from recessed lighting to pendant fixtures.
