Final Report

 

INTRODUCTUION____________________________

This report studies 75 Ames Street, a 15 story, 250,000 square foot, office and lab building.  A study was conducted to see if there were any potential savings available in changing from a typical VAV system. It was also studied if an Aircuity system would have any great savings for labs. The study modeled an active chilled beam system in the place of the VAV system and the Aircuity system allowed for labs to be turned down to a minimum of 2 ACH. Within the report both individual savings, just adding one of the proposed systems, and a compound, both Aircuity and chilled beams, was studied.
