Penn State 

Canvas outage: Penn State and many other universities are currently experiencing a Canvas outage, related to an ongoing security incident affecting Instructure, the vendor that provides the Canvas platform. The University is actively working with Instructure to monitor the situation, assess potential impacts, and restore normal service as quickly as possible. Finance Office

The Engineering Finance Office is responsible for maintaining budget and expenditure control for the College in accordance with approved University and College policies.

The Finance Office is also responsible for:

  • Income and cash controls
  • Furnishing dean(s), department heads, and project directors with meaningful reports, facts, and information to assist them in administering the accounts for which they are responsible
  • Policy and procedure compliance
  • Training financial personnel and orienting budget administrators
  • Financial and procedural audit coordination
  • Budget planning and forecasting
  • The implementation of new College financial, budgetary, and pay systems
