Course Reflection
The completion of this senior thesis project was an opportunity to apply the wealth of knowledge learned over the past 5 years at Penn State. The way that the program is set up requires time management, initiative, and discipline. All of these characteristics are incredibly valuable in the industry and I am glad I had the chance to refine these “unteachables” in an academic setting as opposed to a professional one. In addition to this, this process has allowed me to apply theories and techniques learned in the classroom to a real project which in turn allowed for a better understanding of construction management concepts and course material.
CPEP Reflection
The CPEP website allows for outside industry partners and other related entities to the department to view student work online. It made me become familiar with website creation techniques which will be a valuble tool in the future. In addition, the utilization of a CPEP website reduces the printing required for the thesis course, a great sustainable effort on the part of the AE department.
