Teaching Faculty Position within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a non-tenure line teaching faculty position in the area of structural engineering. The successful candidate will teach courses pertaining to structural design, including steel, reinforced concrete, and prestressed concrete structures. The successful candidate will participate in a professional master’s degree program with both in-resident and online components, as well as contribute to the structural engineering program through service, such as advising student organizations, recruiting graduate students, and fostering new relationships with structural design firms and consultancies.

Preferred applicants will have structural design-related experience and hold a doctoral degree in civil engineering. In addition, candidates should be, or plan to be, licensed as a professional engineer (P.E.) and have demonstrated teaching experience through academic courses, professional conference presentations, or related activities.
