Researcher - Electrical Engineering

The Electrical Engineering Department in The College of Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a highly qualified individual for a Researcher position. The candidate will be expected to mentor graduate students, execute existing research projects, as well as develop new research projects in the area of semiconductor devices and radiation physics.

Requirements:

Applicants should possess a Master’s Degree in electrical engineering, physics, materials science, nuclear engineering, or a related field with experience in the characterization of semiconductor materials and devices. Previous research experience with radiation damage in semiconductors is highly desired.

Responsibilities:

The Researcher will work with graduate students on research projects and prepare reports for relevant sponsored contracts. Additionally, the Researcher is expected to seek and write proposals for new funding opportunities. The Researcher will prepare and present research results at conferences and is expected to publish findings in conference proceedings and technical journal articles. This is a limited-term, non-tenure line position funded for one year from date of hire, with possibility of refunding.
