Purpose:
The University Fellowships Office is Penn State's source of information on scholarships and fellowships funded by sources other than the University. Whether you are majoring in computers, liberal arts, or science, you may be the perfect candidate for one or more of the scholarships listed under "Other Resources" or for some of the internationally "Prestigious Scholarships." The University Fellowships Office provides guidance throughout the application process for students interested in applying for these scholarships, fellowships and awards.
Eligibility:
Any academically serious student may be the perfect candidate for one or more of the prestigious scholarships, regardless of major.
Some prestigious scholarships require a GPA above 3.6 (or even 3.8 for the Rhodes/Marshall/Mitchell!), but many programs are not GPA-dependent.
Each Scholarship has a different deadline and eligibility requirements.

For prestigious scholarships that require a university endorsement for each student applying, such as the Rhodes, Marshall, and Mitchell Scholarships, the University Fellowships office and director, Ruth Mendum, PhD, serve as the university's representative.
