Purpose:
ABCD’s purpose is to improve and encourage the industry of bridge design, construction, and reconstruction by providing a forum for members to exchange and develop new ideas and techniques (www.abcd-susquehanna.org). This scholarship opportunity is offered to students who are considering a career in bridge engineering.
Eligibility:
1. The applicant must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in a civil engineering or civil engineering technology curriculum.
2. The applicant must have completed at least the sophomore year.
3. The applicant must either A.) be enrolled at Pennsylvania State University or
B.) have a combination of a permanent residence within the boundaries of the Susquehanna Chapter Counties and attend another accredited engineering college or university within Pennsylvania. (Note: The Susquehanna Chapter counties include Adams, Centre, Clinton, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lycoming, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Potter, Snyder, Tioga, Union, and York.)
Terms of Award:
The scholarship amount is $1,500.00 and will be awarded in April at the annual ABCD Awards Banquet held in the Harrisburg, PA area.
