National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA)

Purpose:
The National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA) is sponsoring scholarships for deserving students pursuing a career related to the precast concrete industry. Precast concrete-related careers include professional positions in manufacturing facilities, architectural firms, the specifying community, engineering firms and the general construction industry.
Eligibility:
Who May Apply?
Applications are open to anyone who will be enrolled in a certificate program or an undergraduate program at an academic institution for the
next academic year following the application deadline. The applicant’s course of study should be in an academic field related to the building,
construction or precast concrete industry. Applicants must be enrolled in a certificate program or a two- or four-year degree program.
The academic institution may be either a four-year college, a community college or a vocational school with a recognized related course of study
Terms of Award:
Who Is Eligible?
Students who are awarded an NPCA Foundation scholarship are eligible to receive $2,500 their first year (paid as $1,250 in the fall semester and
$1,250 in the spring semester). Students who complete an internship with an NPCA member of 320 hours or more prior to the start of their second
year are eligible to receive $3,000 for that academic year (paid as $1,500 in the fall semester and $1,500 in the spring semester). Students who
complete a second internship with an NPCA member of 320 hours or more prior to the start of their
third year are eligible to receive $4,000 for that academic year (paid as $2,000 in the fall semester and
$2,000 in the spring semester). Students who complete a third internship with an NPCA member
of 320 hours or more prior to the start of their fourth year are eligible to receive $5,000 for that
academic year (paid as $2,500 in the fall semester and $2,500 in the spring semester).

What Must Accompany the Completed Application?
To guarantee the application will be reviewed by the NPCA Foundation Board of Directors, please include the following materials:
1. A transcript of high school grades and/or college grades (if applicable) through the most recent grading period prior to the date of application.
2. A 300-500 word essay.
3. A letter of recommendation from a member of the high school or college faculty.
4. A completed recommendation form from an NPCA member considered to be in good standing. This is required to apply. If you need
