Humanity in Action Fellowship

Requirements:

Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Grad Student

Purpose:

The Humanity in Action Fellowship brings together international groups of Fellows to study minority rights and produce original research exploring how and why individuals and societies, past and present, have resisted intolerance and protected democratic values. Separate programs take place for five weeks every summer in Amsterdam, Atlanta, Berlin, Copenhagen, Sarajevo, and Warsaw.

Eligibility:

Applicants to the Humanity in Action Fellowship must be one of the following:

currently enrolled undergraduate students from the US or at US-based colleges and universities (sophomores, juniors and seniors); or
recent graduates (for the 2020 Fellowship, we define recent graduates as individuals from the undergraduate classes of 2018 and 2019 at accredited, four-year undergraduate colleges or universities in the United States); or
currently enrolled, second-year community college students who plan to continue their secondary education; or
currently enrolled Masters and PhD students at US-based universities.

Terms of Award:

There is a $40 application fee.

If you are a United States citizen studying at a foreign university, you are eligible to apply to the Humanity in Action Fellowship through the United States.
