Edith Nourse Rogers STEM Scholarship Program

All majors, must be veteran or dependent

Purpose:

The Edith Nourse Rogers STEM Scholarship is a provision of the Harry W. Colmery Veterans Educational Assistance Act (Forever GI Bill) that gives extra benefits to students training in the high-demand fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Obtaining a degree in these areas may require more training than other fields. This provision aims to help cover that difference and give additional incentive for students who choose the careers our society needs most.

Eligibility:

Veterans or Fry Scholars enrolled in a STEM degree program
Completed at least 60 semester credit hours
Have or will exhaust your Post-9/11 GI Bill entitlement within six months based onyour current enrollment
OR
Have earned a STEM degree and are seeking a teaching certification

Students must be enrolled in or have earned a degree in one of the following areas:

agriculture science or natural resources science program
biological or biomedical science
computer and information science and support services
engineering, engineering technologies, or an engineering-related field
health care or related program
mathematics or statistics
medical residency (undergraduate only)
physical science
science technologies or technicians

Terms of Award:

Nine months of additional Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits (to a maximum of $30,000

VA will continue to accept applications and award scholarships in January, March, July and October of 2024.
