Engineering Scholarship Renewal Eligibility

There are financial aid considerations a student should make if they select alternative grading. Following the model of University-level scholarship awarding, the College of Engineering-endowed scholarship eligibility will be reviewed at the end of the spring 2021 semester for consideration to be renewed for the next academic year. At that time, students will be required to meet the established renewal criteria as in the donor guideline agreement.

  1. For any student who has a 0.0 cumulative GPA (CGPA) at the end of spring 2021, the engineering scholarship will not be renewed for the next academic year.
  2. For students who have scholarships with required CGPA and a required minimum number of total credits:
    • Standard credit-bearing grades, SAT grades, SA grades and V grades will be counted toward the total credits earned accumulation for scholarship renewals.
    • Z grades and UN grades will not be counted toward the total credits earned accumulation for scholarship renewals.

All non-renewed scholarships are typically not considered for re-awarding if the student regains eligibility for the scholarship in future years. Students who regain eligibility-level CGPA must reapply to be considered for future scholarship awards through the returning student scholarship application, which will be launched in spring of 2021.
