Thank you to everyone who completed the ENGAGE Climate Survey!
The survey results are now available for download.
In the College of Engineering, we seek to create an environment characterized by openness, fairness, and equal access for all students, staff, and faculty. A welcoming and inclusive campus climate is grounded in mutual respect, nurtured by dialogue, evidenced by a pattern of civil interaction, and is one of the foundations of our educational model. Creating and maintaining a community environment that respects individual needs, abilities, and potential is critically important to the success of our College.
As part of the College’s strategic plan, we have launched an initiative called ENGAGE: Enhancing the Learning & Working Environment at Penn State Engineering. ENGAGE will begin with an online survey to understand the perceptions and experiences of the learning and working environment from students, staff, and faculty. The College will take actions to enhance our learning and working environment based on the findings of the survey. More information about the survey is available in the FAQs.
Why is ENGAGE important?
The goals of ENGAGE are multifold: 1) identify successful initiatives, 2) uncover any challenges facing members of our community, and 3) develop strategic initiatives to build on the successes and address the challenges.
Your part is essential: Completing the survey when it is launched in February 2016. Your responses will help us understand the current climate in the College: positive and challenging aspects; personal observations and experiences; and suggestions to enhance the climate in the College of Engineering.
All results will be reported in group form only to protect your anonymity and ensure confidentiality.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this vital project.
